…Brenda Critell, owner/manager of Assisting Angels, provided emotional reassurance to me and to my family in her first conversation with us. Within two or three days, she came to my parents’ home to get acquainted with my parents and to assess their needs, emotional, physical, and financial. Within one day of her initial visit to my parents’ home, she provided a real “angel” who came to sit with my father while my mother ran some very necessary errands. In the ensuing weeks, angels have helped transport my parents to their doctors’ appointments, sat with my father while my mother left to deal with household business, and offered sound advice to my parents regarding VA and other benefits for which they may be eligible.

While I would rather I could be in Boise to sit with my father, this simply isn’t possible. The next best thing (and some could argue the best thing) has been for us to work with Brenda and her staff. These professionals offer compassionate, sensible, humor-filled assistance on an as-needed basis for my parents. They have become friends to my parents as much as care givers. In addition, Brenda, herself has offered sound advice to me and to my mother as we and the rest of the family begin to navigate waters we somehow never imagined we would need to navigate.

These skilled and generous-hearted people will help you sort out priorities for the care of your loved one, will provide competent, thoughtful assistance to you as well as your needful family member, and will be completely honest with you when your family needs exceed their capacity to be helpful. I cannot adequately express to you how much it has meant to every one of us in our family to know that we can call upon these people whom we now count as friends to give us honest advice and assistance. They have helped significantly as we have pulled back from the brink of our emergent problem. Their assistance to us in our time of great need has been tremendously reassuring to my father, who is very aware that his illness places enormous demands upon my mother.

Life brings great challenges to all of us at times. It is a tremendous blessing to our family to know that good, capable, kind, and caring people are ready to help at Assisting Angels.
